Canvas website down after Amazon Web Services outage 

LBCC’s learning management system Canvas went down due to an Amazon Web Service (AWS) outage this morning.

The outage prevented students and faculty from opening Canvas, with the app stating, “We were unable to verify the server for use with this app.”

A text was sent out by LBCC stating, “Canvas is temporarily down due to technology issues affecting many sites. Thanks for your patience.”

The outage not only impeded ongoing classes, but the start of eight week classes for the latter half of the semester.
