{"id":17896,"date":"2025-06-02T00:34:23","date_gmt":"2025-06-02T07:34:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lbccviking.com\/?p=17896"},"modified":"2025-06-02T00:34:24","modified_gmt":"2025-06-02T07:34:24","slug":"appus-turmeric-cafe-serves-indo-mexican-meals-with-health-heart-and-hospitality","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lbccviking.com\/?p=17896","title":{"rendered":"Appu\u2019s Turmeric Cafe serves Indo-Mexican meals with health, heart and hospitality"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Flavorful, authentic, health-centered, and quick, Appu\u2019s Turmeric Cafe calls their menu \u201cIndo-Mexican,\u201d after observing their audience\u2019s need for a quick and yummy meal while still keeping the integrity of the food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Catering to the \u201cmeat eaters\u201d and \u201cnon-meat eaters,\u201d Appu\u2019s Cafe takes traditional Indian meals and brings them to an American audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First, I was given a veggie Samosa as a \u201cpalate cleanser\u201d to \u201cwake up [my] tongue,\u201d according to the owner and head chef, Chef VR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simple and crunchy, with a hint of mild spices, I can see how this small treat makes way for more flavor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Next was the Vegan Mango Lassi, a subtly creamy, noticeably seasoned Indian sweet mango drink made with coconut milk and subtle flavors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere\u2019s cardamom and turmeric. (Katherine Elizabeth Jackson)<\/em><\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chef VR is a man with a constant smile who looks to keep the smile on his customer\u2019s faces as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWow, this is mango?
