The Long Beach City women’s volleyball team came out strong and dominated Los Angeles City College winning all three sets of the game.

The first period started off with the outsider hitter, Jordyn Hollins, coming through with the powerful strikes, making it difficult for the opponent team to strike back.

“We knew we had to take care of business and I knew I needed to come out stronger and better and have that winning mindset regardless of who we are going up against,” said Hollins.

The set reflected the Vikings dominance with the score ending at 25-8.

Set two also started with a fast start with many blocks coming from LBCC.

Left back outside hitter Brandi Ramirez highlighted the set with her consistent serves throughout most of this period, forcing the opponents to attempt to receive the serve.

Opposite hitter Marie Rai and middle hitter Ryannah Gagau became a powerful pair throughout the game.
